In summer 2023 the ACF run a photograph contest. The winners were announced in September 2023, and on this page we will, bit by bit, showcase all entries, together with some words by the respective artists.

God’s palette of colour – Twilight – a magical moment captured at Nandgaon, a lazy hamlet in the outskirts of Mumbai, India. This fisherwoman returning home with a bountiful catch, a source of joy to her family, looks so mesmerizing yet calming in the frame created by the amazing artist who has orchestrated everything.

I have documented the complete journey of this bird’s birth process. The father and mother birds diligently built their nest and laid eggs. On a rainy day, the baby bird ventured out in search of food. Due to a delay, I arrived at the nest, and the baby bird mistook me for its mother. Remarkably, the baby bird showed no fear as it approached me. It is truly awe-inspiring to witness the intricate connection between animals and humans.

I always wonder how beautiful Gods’ creation is and out of all I feel the beaches are one of the best. And living in Sri Lanka, its simply surrounded with amazing beaches around the Island.

This picture was taken from one of the best beaches of Sri Lanka, Trincomalee. The sand is so soft here with beautiful soft waves.
