In His Time

— Midweek Meditations:
thoughts, inspiration and encouragement
from ACF community members —

In His Time, In His Time
He makes all things beautiful in his time

This chorus has always been a spiritual support in my life
The perfect timing of God is always a mystery and the better we fathom it the better we understand the miracles that are possible in God.
God is never later, nor is God ever early
Everything has that cosmic rhythm
In His Time, In His Time

Sometimes when the oceans roar in our life’s stormy patches
We tend to ask- How long O Lord
And then I find solace singing
In His Time, in His Time

Sometimes when we fail to realise that a little patience is better than a lot of regret later
When I am more worried about the delay and the wait
My rest comes from the words
In His Time, In His Time

Sometimes when I see my dream factory drying away
When frustration fills me
God assures that in His way he will bring those dreams back
In His Time, In His Time

Sometimes when what you hope for and what you get does not match
When you fail to find your path in the labyrinths of life
God assures that God will show the way
In His Time, In His Time

Sometimes when everything goes well with you
When you fail to see the greater and deeper purposes of God in your life
God keeps whispering that a new beginning is not far away
In His Time, In His Time

Sometimes when the future looks uncertain and bleak
When the loads you carry seem heavier by the day
God keeps assuring that there will be light in the darkness
In His Time, In His Time

The ACF Midweek Meditations
are written by a diverse group of our church members with the intention to seek God’s fingerprints in our lives. They range from somber to humorous and are inspired by all facets of live and faith. Written by ordinary people from all walks of life, they reflect a wide range of Christian backgrounds and spiritualities.

Each week’s text portrays the individual viewpoint of its author. They might not always resonate with everyone, and are not meant to be understood as representing the Anglican Church Freiburg as a whole. Yet, as a church that is aiming to ‘Build a Community of Grace’ we seek to practice learning from and listening to one another.

We pray that these humble ponderings add a small spark of blessing to your week.
