Gracious God, we give thanks
for the life of your servant Queen Elizabeth,
for her faith and her dedication to duty.
Bless the British nation as we mourn her death
and may her example continue to inspire us;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
Queen Elizabeth II, the UK’s longest-serving monarch and also head of the Church of England, has died at Balmoral aged 96, after reigning for 70 years.
As a Church of England chaplaincy we, the Anglican Church Freiburg would like to pay tribute to the life of a remarkable leader, remember her legacy, offer space to mourn and pray for the Royal Family, including her successor King Charles III.
